You have questions about the
Anti-Callous, Anti-Regrowth System?
Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions:
I feel like I need so much of the solution?
The opposite should be the case with correct application. It all depends on the proper application. Please make sure to divide the cotton into extra thin layers before use. The thinner, the better. Wet the thin layer of cotton with the solution and press the now moist cotton against the skin with the lid of the solution, so that the skin shimmers through the moist cotton.
This is the right way, and you really only need a few ml of the solution for each application.
Can I apply the Mr. Fuss Solution No. 1 or No. 4 on open blisters or open wounds?
Unfortunately no. You must not apply the solution on injured or irritated skin. Please wait until the affected areas are fully healed before using it.
Why does the cotton fall off, does not adhere?
This happens when the cotton is not well soaked with the solution, and therefore the liquid has too little contact with the skin.
Please separate the cotton into the thinnest layers possible before use, the thinner the better. You only need the cotton to "hold" the solution on the skin. If the cotton is thin enough, and the solution is applied correctly, the skin will shine through the moistened cotton!
Can I use the solutions during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
All Mr. Fuss products are ordinary cosmetic products. There are no special aspects regarding pregnancies for cosmetic products in general. If you want to be sure, ask your doctor. You can find the ingredients of the products on the respective product page under the tab "INCI".
On the bottle it says Danger of blindness?
The Mr. Foot Active Solution (No. 1 and No. 4) contains an alkaline solution. Proper handling is urgently required. Mr. Foot Solution should also be kept out of reach of children. However, if you follow the instructions, handling is safe. Please take a look in your household cleaners cabinet and read the warning labels on the individual products. Even the simple shampoo in the shower does not seem to be completely harmless upon closer inspection. The safety instructions are legally required and also serve as a limitation of liability for the manufacturers!
How long are the solutions durable?
For products that are shelf-stable for more than 3 years when unopened, the indication of durability in relation to the opening of the packaging is sufficient. In the case of Mr. Fuss Solution No. 1 and No. 4, the durability is guaranteed for 12 months after opening. You can recognize this information by the symbol of the open jar on the packaging and the corresponding indication of months (e.g. "12M").
Can it treat athlete's foot?
Unfortunately, a clear no! Athlete's foot is a skin condition! Please do not experiment on yourself. Visit a specialist doctor!
Can I also do the application without cotton wool?
Sorry, that only works in theory! In reality, the cotton "holds" the solution on the skin so that it can take effect. If you were to just apply the solution directly to the skin, it would flow everywhere. The solution has the consistency of water. The advantage of the cotton (moistened) is that it "holds" the solution in place, as I mentioned, it doesn't absorb (like, for example, a tissue) and therefore doesn't affect the effectiveness.
Is the application also suitable for diabetics?
Considering that diabetics and at-risk patients (for example, individuals taking blood thinners) must avoid getting injured, the Anti-Callous, Anti-Regrowth System is certainly a safe and interesting alternative due to its gentle removal and treatment method. It therefore provides a significant advantage for this group of people in the removal of cuticles and treatment of calluses. To be safe, please consult with your doctor beforehand.
Is the application also suitable for children?
If your child is older than 3 years, there is generally nothing against it. However, we have often found that parents want to treat one or the other "flaw" of their children for aesthetic reasons. Please consider carefully whether removing cuticles from your child brings physical benefits. Many things regulate themselves during development. We believe that one should only intervene in the body's regulatory mechanisms if there is a real reason to do so! Please also consider that you should initially conduct tests with shortened exposure times on your child.
I have a callus, will it go away with the solution?
There are some good reasons why you should leave the removal to a professional. The callus consists exclusively of hardened skin. Inside, there is usually a core of compressed skin that needs to be removed. We advise you: Please go to a specialist or a podiatrist if you have a callus.
Does the solution also help with ingrown toenails?
Ingrown toenails are a problem that especially women often deal with. The most common cause of ingrowth is for aesthetic reasons. Toenails are cut "round" for beauty reasons. The nails end up too short, leading to ingrowth from the nail bed. If the nail cannot grow out, it can also lead to inflammation. You can solve these calluses in time with the solution. The nail can grow out of the nail bed better again. Please always cut the toenails straight (toe-level). This is healthier and prevents the described problem. If you have an existing problematic condition, please consult a doctor.
Does the No. 1 or No. 4 also help with warts?
No. The wart is mostly a viral infection of the skin and should be treated by a specialist or an appropriate caregiver.
It's hardly going away, am I doing something wrong?
Please note that our system is equipped with 2 solutions that have different strengths. Consequently, the results of the application can also vary. Please also note:
1. The treated skin areas must be dry
Pay attention to dry skin. Sometimes, for example, a foot bath is taken before the application. This is unfavorable for the treatment because the skin has already absorbed water, and the solution cannot penetrate the skin.
2. The cotton should be used thinly
Sometimes, a thick cotton ball is used. While the cotton is soaked with the solution, unfortunately, too little solution reaches the skin area to be treated. A good indicator is that you can clearly see the wet skin through the cotton. The thinner the cotton (as it only serves as a carrier), the lower the consumption of the solution.
My fingernails are turning yellowish?
Occasionally, this can be observed in users, unfortunately. These slight discolorations are often accompanied by very soft nails and excessively long exposure times. The discoloration will fade on its own within a few days. To prevent this, you can cover your nails with a fatty cream before treatment. Even better: Apply the solution directly to painted nails.
Do I no longer have to go to the foot care studio?
It depends on the services your foot care has provided so far. By using Mr. Fuss Solution, you cannot replace the entire spectrum of a foot care studio. After all, visiting a foot care professional may also be a matter of "pampering".
However, more and more foot care professionals are using our solution in their practice. Just ask for it or feel free to recommend our products there.
Should you bathe your feet beforehand?
No. This is one of the most common sources of error. Please apply the Mr. Fuss solution directly to dry skin. If the skin is moist (which is the case after bathing), the solution may not work well. The result could be unsatisfactory.
Here's the right way: Treat the cuticles and calluses on hands and feet with Mr. Fuss. Afterwards, for example, a relaxing foot bath can replace the rinsing process. Your feet will thank you.
Do I need to let the solution work longer for severe calluses?
Leaving the product on for too long can cause the treated areas of skin to dry out. The callous dries up again and cannot be removed. Instead: To achieve efficient removal of hardened skin, shortly before removal, you can moisten the cotton wool again with the solution to have a stronger effect.
If necessary, it may be necessary to repeat the application at intervals of a few days.
What is the difference between No. 1 and No. 4?
Basically, both solutions differ mainly in the intensity of their effect. Those who have discovered the benefits of gentle manicures and pedicures without the use of sharp or rough tools may want to use the procedure with more intensity.
While No. 4 has a normal keratolytic (i.e. callous-dissolving) effect, No. 1 is noticeably stronger in its effect.
For beginners, we recommend using No. 4 or our Starter Kit, which includes both solutions.
How often should I use it?
The best results are achieved when the callus is removed in layers using this gentle method. If you have a lot of calluses, we recommend using it every 1-2 weeks at the beginning. This reduces the callus layer by layer. After some time, one application every 1-2 months or even less frequently will be sufficient.
